I find that Hebrew is so different from English that even good and faithful translations leave a lot behind in order to make a fluid translation. So reading in Hebrew is like seeing the text in living color, rather than in black and white. And this is even true for beginning students!

For instance, Psalm 23 in English says that "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life", which is a good and true translation.But it's pretty bland. The word translated "follow" has a sense of intense pursuit in Hebrew, and is frequently used of a hunter pursuing prey or an army in pursuit of an enemy. The psalmist David is portraying God as a hunter who is intensely pursuing him, with goodness, mercy and loyal love, all through his life.

Yes! Our entire system is designed for self-study first. But we provide cohorts and other opportunities to meet with other members and learn together. You can even switch between self-study and cohorts whenever you want.
Do You Charge Anything Besides The Monthly Fee?
No, we do not charge any additional costs, nor do we charge per course. You access everything in the membership with your monthly plan. You can learn everything with our app and learning platform included.

Starting with the alphabet or jumping right into intermediate Hebrew, we have courses and lessons that suit beginners all the way to those wanting to master reading the whole Hebrew Old Testament.
How can I join?

A digital grammar is included in Beginning Hebrew. The one tool we suggest you buy is Flashcards Deluxe for learning the vocabulary cards that we provide you, this is about $5 one time.
But I'm not good with languages!
Languages are a skill to develop. You're not good because you haven't practiced the skill. In small steps, you will slowly get better with Hebrew. It will get easier as you practice that skill, and along the way Frank will guide you — That's what you're paying him for!
But it costs too much!
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt 6:21 The value of a comprehensive program to learn Hebrew — Along with live instruction — is well worth our $50 cost per weekly call. Just kidding. It's $50 a MONTH.
But consider the change your Bible reading will have after a year of Hebrew, when you can read books of the Old Testament in Hebrew. Will you look back on life after reading the Hebrew Old Testament and count the cost? I think you will count the blessings.
But I don't have time!
We make time for what we value. Can you go to bed 30 minutes earlier to get up the next morning 30 minutes earlier to learn Hebrew? If you really can't, how else can you make time for Hebrew? If you want to learn, block out the time — If not everyday, every other day. It's your life — I believe you can make it work!
